Ask yourself this question: Who do you want to become as a leader?

This question matters just as much as "Who am I as a leader?" Together, they ensure our leadership is rooted in values, not merely actions.
True leadership development begins with asking the right questions. Alongside understanding who we are and who we aspire to become, we must clarify our mission, articulate our vision, and, as Peter Drucker wisely asked, define "What is our plan?"
Three principles that guide this approach:
Character over capability – Leadership isn't just about what we do; it's about who we are. Our character and values define our impact far more than our task list ever will.
Self-awareness as foundation – Understanding how we show up and influence others is essential. This means confronting our blind spots, not avoiding them.
Purpose at the centre – When our actions align with our core values and clear mission, we lead with authenticity and consistency.
The leaders who make a lasting difference aren't simply effective - they're intentional about who they're becoming.
